"Please try to do a little research and try to be open-minded bago mag-criticize ng sobra." - Wyn Marquez

While still basking in her recent victory as Reina Hispanoamericana at the Miss World Philippines, Wyn Marquez appeals for more support as she vies for the international title.

Wyn has always been vocal in her desire to win a beauty pageant crown and now that she is wearing one, she feels everything is surreal.

She related on Instagram, “Hindi ko ma-explain nararamdaman ko. The only thing that was on my mind was “Is this really happening?” I may not have won the top crown but I am still very very happy with my title. I know I was placed here for a reason. Though alam ko mahirap ang sasalihan ko and I only have a little time to prepare, kakayanin pa din!”

Wyn also expressed her request for people not to look down on her title.

“Also, please do not belittle the title just because you don’t know anything about it or dahil ngayon niyo lang narinig and nagkwe-question bakit tayo sasali, etc. Please try to do a little research and try to be open-minded bago mag-criticize ng sobra,” she said.

And like the beauty queen that she is, the actress keeps her head high and takes pride of her recent feat.

“I am so honored to be the first ever Filipina to join this pageant and I’ll be ‘Miss Philippines’ in Bolivia, and doon palang winner na ako,” Wyn claimed.

“Instead of questioning everything, magtulungan nalang tayo para makita ng lahat na buo ang suporta ng mga Pinoy,” she concluded in her post.
