One of the people portrayed in KMJS' Gabi ng Lagim The Movie has finally seen it in the cinemas.

In one of the more recent posts on his Facebook account, Father Rex Manlantao - the real-life person portrayed by Martin del Rosario - shared photos of him at SM Cinema Butuan together with “Angel”, the person portrayed by Star of the New Gen Jillian Ward.

In the caption to the post, he wrote: “Kudos to KMJS production team for giving justice to this actual story of faith and the importance of the strengthening of family”.

Father Rex and the story of “Angel” were told in the episode titled “Sanib”, which also starred Epy Quizon, Ashley Ortega, Therese Malvar, and Lotlot de Leon.

Jillian Ward's performance as “Angel” had already been praised by Jessica Soho herself during the movie's premiere night last month.

“Katabi ko si Jillian, tanong ako nang tanong sa kanya, 'Nagawa mo ba lahat 'yan? Paano mo ginawa?' Kasi ang galing e. Ang galing nung acting niya,” she shared.

National Artist Ricky Lee also had high praise for the film, saying that it scared him despite him being used to horror movies.

“So, siguro sanay na ako sa horror films e kasi, nakakatakot pa rin siya pero mas na-entertain ako kaysa natakot,” he said.

He also praised the “Sanib” episode, noting that it was something that could have happened to anyone.

“Well, nakakatakot 'yung exorcism kasi you feel na it can happen sa ating lahat, and ikalawa, may nati-trigger na sa mind mo may ibang napanood mo at nabasa,” he explained.
