Filipino actor Rommel Padilla took to social media amid discussions surrounding actress Angel Locsin's recent comments about his brother, Senator Robin Padilla.

On Facebook, Rommel reshared several posts from netizens expressing support for Robin following Angel's public remarks. One of the reposts criticized the actress for speaking out against the senator while allegedly remaining silent on other national issues.

Rommel accompanied one of the shared posts with the caption, "#ReaLTaLK."

He also reshared other comments defending Robin and supporting his views on national development and social justice.

Rommel's posts came after Angel publicly called out Robin over his recent statements on national issues.

Sharing a screenshot of Robin's statement, "Komunista po ako," Angel said she was reminded of the person she once knew.

“Sa statement mo na 'to, kahit papaano, natuwa akong makita ulit 'yung dating Robin Padilla na nakilala ko. At least, honest ka ngayon, Kuya,” Angel wrote.

The actress then questioned Robin's silence during the time she faced allegations of being affiliated with communist groups.

“Ang tanong ko lang, nasaan ka nu'ng panahong nirered-tag ako kahit alam mong hindi totoo? Actually, kasama mo pa nga at kachikahan 'yung mga nangre-red-tag. Naghugas-kamay at pumikit sa katotohanan.”

Angel also reminded Robin of his responsibilities as a public servant and a Muslim, urging him to reflect on his actions and use his position to stand for truth and justice.

She concluded her message with an appeal:

“Tama na, Kuya. Gising na. Hindi pa huli ang lahat.”

The exchange has since sparked discussions online, with supporters of both Angel and Robin sharing their perspectives on social media.
