On top of being the second most populated country in the world, India is known for a lot of things including its world-famous tourist attraction, the Taj Mahal and its distinct cuisine, which is characterized by its diverse use of spices.

In an episode of iJuander, Indian chef Surat Rana, who owns a restaurant in the Philippines and was one of the in-house chefs of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his 2017 visit, shared an authentic Chicken Korma recipe, that's sure to make you crave Indian food.

Chicken Koma a la Chef Surat Rana

Ingredients:

chicken

yogurt

salt

chili powder

coriander powder

cumin powder

garam masala powder

ginger garlic paste

cashew

onions

green cardamom

mace

cinnamon

bay laurel leaves (dahon ng laurel)

butter

cream

Procedure:

1. Marinade the chicken in yogurt, salt, chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and ginger garlic paste.

2. To make the korma sauce, put the cashew, sliced onions, and yogurt in a blender.

3. Add water and blend well, then aside.

4. Cook the green cardamom, mace, cinnamon, and bay laurel leaves in oil for 1-2 minutes.

5. Add the marinated chicken.

6. Once the chicken is cooked, add the korma sauce.

7. Add butter and cream.
