Here's a new twist to the traditional beef afritada. Enjoy!
Procedure:
1. In a stock pot or pressure cooker, put cooking oil and turn to medium heat. Add in meat and season with salt and black pepper. Brown meat, add onions, garlic and vinegar.
2. Add the tomato paste and flour. Pour beef stock, water, bayleaf, peppercorn, thyme and fish sauce.
3. Add the caramelized wine to the beef.
4. Adjust taste with sugar. Add boiled carrots, potatoes, button mushrooms and pickles. Let it simmer.
5. Put afritada on an oven safe pan, top with sliced bread, pickles and cheese.
