Procedure
:
1. Boil the kalabasa
2. Boil water and add baking soda. Blanch the sitaw, okra and sigarilyas. Place in ice cold water.
3. Remove the kalabasa from the pot of boiling water.
4. In a pan, heat oil and add onion, garlic, peppercorn and bay leaves. Sauté until lightly brown. Add salt, black pepper and sugar.
5 . Add soy sauce, vinegar. Lower heat and simmer. When the vinegar is cooked. Add per batch the okra, sitaw, sigarilyas, and kalabasa.
3. Add water as needed.
4. Top with garlic chips.
