Chopsuey is a go-to healthy vegetable dish as it is high in nutrients.
To make it even healthier, in a recent episode of Unang Hirit, Chef Jose Sarasola cooked up his own version where he used less oil and added chicken strips as a protein source.
To recreate this dish, you'll need the following ingredients:
garlic
onion
chicken breast (strips)
oyster sauce
cauliflower
broccoli
carrots
young corn
cabbage
red bell pepper
green bell pepper
chicken broth
cornstarch
water
sesame oil
salt
pepper
Here's the step-by-step guide to cooking Chicken Strips Chopsuey:
1. Sauté the garlic and onion and add the chicken breast strips.
2. Once the chicken turs brown, you can add the oyster sauce.
3. Add the cauliflower and broccoli.
4. Once the cauliflower and broccoli soften, add the carrots and young corn.
5. Once carrots and young corn soften, add the cabbage, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper.
6. Add chicken broth and mix well.
7. Add cornstarch, water, and sesame oil.
8. Season with salt and pepper.
