
Crema de Fruta is one of the Pinoy favorite holiday desserts for Noche Buena and Media Noche. Aside from its festive look, Filipinos can't get enough of its layers of irresistible sweetness.

In a recent episode of Pinas Sarap, Kara David featured holiday dishes and desserts that have pineapple as its ingredients, one of them is the Crema de Fruta.
Kara learned how to make the classic holiday dessert from Renil Banaag, baker of the iconic Kamuning Bakery Cafe in Quezon City.
If you want to try making your own Crema de Fruta for Noche Buena this year, below are the ingredients and procedure.
evaporated milk
condensed milk
egg yolk
salt
butter
fruit cocktail (fruta)
whipped cream
baked sponge cake
1. Mix together the evaporated milk, condensed milk, egg yolk, and salt.
2. Pour the mixture into a pan and add butter.
3. Cool the mixture in a bowl and add whipped cream.
4. Once the mixture is free of lumps, chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
5. Using a piping bag, put a layer of crema at the bottom of the container.
6. Add the first layer of baked sponge cake.
7. Add another layer of crema.
8. Even out the surface of the second layer of crema and add the fruta or fruit cocktail as toppings.
