Each weekly special will surely be star-studded as upcoming anthology Regal Studio Presents is set to feature talents from the rosters of both GMA and Regal Entertainment.

"We are going to be starting with the usual anthology at least for the first season. We have different artists from the roster of GMA talents and from the roster of Regal talents. We're going to make them act together. We're going to be tackling a new story every episode," First Vice President for Program Management Department Jose Mari "Joey" R. Abacan promised.

He compared Regal Studio Presents to Mother Studio Presents, an anthology and a successful co-production of GMA and Regal Entertainment which ran from the late '80s to the mid '90s.

"Kasi ang 'Mother Studio Presents,' there was a time that we just focused on our stars. This time we tried to work on iba ibang kuwento bawat linggo na mapapanood ninyo," he shared.

"Eventually, we will be doing some specials. We're going to be making a movie made for television as well. 'Yan ang abangan natin for the partnership of Regal and GMA," Abacan added.

The first episode will feature Kapuso stars Ken Chan and Sanya Lopez as bickering neighbors in the romantic comedy "That Thin Line Between."

Ken will play an accountant who clashes with his new neighbor, played by Sanya, an online seller who makes such a loud racket during her live selling sessions.

This will be followed by a cute mermaid fantasy story called "Raya Sirena" which stars Sofia Pablo as a spoiled brat who is turned into a mermaid due to a curse.

She tries to hide her condition from her social media influencer boyfriend, played by Bruce Roeland, and finds an ally in one of the helpers in her father's resort, played by Allen Ansay.

Gabbi Garcia will top bill "One Million Comments, Magjojowa Na Ako" where she plays a no-boyfriend-since-birth online tutor who pledges that she will finally look for a boyfriend if her social media post goes viral.

"We are very serious in doing this. This a partnership between GMA and Regal so pamatay talaga," Abacan said of the episodes.

Don't miss the fresh and timely stories of Regal Studio Presents in the primetime premiere of pilot episode "That Thin Line Between" on September 11, 8:30 pm, followed by "Raya Sirena" on September 18, 8:30 pm.

Regal Studio Presents moves to its regular timeslot, 4:35 pm every Sunday, starting September 26 with "One Million Comments, Magjojowa Na Ako."
