Geneva Cruz reveals new boyfriend: 'I'm just happier now'

Geneva Cruz reveals she has a new boyfriend at the launch of her new single “When Christmas Comes” on Wednesday, December 11.
“I have opened myself to love once again. I think that's pretty special,” the singer-actress revealed when asked what makes her Christmas, her favorite season of the year, extra special.
She continued, “For many years, since 2020, sarado talaga. But this year, I'm just really happy and grateful.”
Geneva was hesitant to reveal the identity of her new boyfriend, but hinted, “He's a national athlete.”
This prompted entertainment media to ask more questions about her new beau. Until she gave in and confirmed he's the guy in “When Christmas Comes” music video.
He is Dean Roxas, a jiu-jitsu national athlete and SEA Games gold medalist.
“I'm very, very proud of him,” the 48-year-old celebrity said. “He inspires me to be better in life and, you know, yung mga positive reinforcements galing din sa kanya. Basta I'm happier. Yun ang kaibahan ng Christmas ko this year."
Earlier this year, Geneva mentioned that she's already contented with her single life. So, GMANetwork.com asked what changed her mind about entering a new relationship.
She answered, “Sabi ko nga, minsan siguro mas dumarating kapag hindi mo ine-expect. I always say that I've been happy for many years. I'm just happier now. Alam n'yo naman na strong woman tayo, pero masarap din yung mayroon kang nadadantayan.”
Geneva added, “For the past five years, I've been single. I'm just grateful na nandito ako sa aking strong but soft girl era. Masarap din yung pakiramdam to get introduced to my feminine side.”
Geneva first married Introvoys fron man Paco Arespacochaga, father of her son Heaven. Their five-year marriage ended in 1999 and was officially annulled in 2001.
Later, Geneva married television host KC Montero. Although they broke up after 10 years, they remained good friends.
Geneva was also in a relationship with former partner Filipino-Australian Lee Paulsen, father of her daughter named London.
