After eight years, impersonator KaladKaren, whose real name is Jervi Li, is engaged to her British boyfriend Luke Wrightson!

On Facebook, the comedienne announced the great news and said, “Sa love, minsan kailangan mo lang maniwala… FINALLY!!! #Engaged #LoveWins #TransLOVEmatters”

Along with the posts are photos of her and Luke as she flaunted her beautiful engagement ring.

In her vlog, Kaladkaren recounted how she never thought of finding the love of her life because she was born “different.”

“Dati noong bata ako, akala ko wala ng taong magmamahal sa akin dahil bakla ako, transgender ako, at naiiba raw ako.”

This all changed in 2012 when she met her very own “Prince Charming” in the form of Luke Wrightson.

As for Luke, deciding to get on one knee is easy as he had already bought the ring in the UK and kept it in his back pocket as he waited for the right timing.

He said, “We were going to a shopping mall and I said to my mum and my sister that I want to look at some jewelers 'cause I'm gonna propose to Jervi.

“My mum already knew 'cause I spoke to my mum and dad, bless him. I said I want to propose to Jervi next time I'm home so I need to find a ring.”

The proposal happened one night while they were hanging out in their home balcony.

KaladKaren nonchalantly told Luke that if he was going to propose she had an engagement ring in mind.

Taking the hint, the British native got down on one knee and asked his longtime partner to marry him.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

The LGBTQIA+ advocate said, “It was a fantastic night. I think it's one of the nights that I would never forget in my life.”
