Model and businessman Rey Pamaran filed a criminal complaint of slander by deed against Melissa Mendez despite the latter’s public apology earlier yesterday.

According to Rey, he will only accept Melissa’s apology if the actress would issue a public apology on national television.

He said on 24 Oras, “Kagabi nga may inutusan siyang common friend namin ‘di ba, na sabi ni Melissa gusto niya akong makausap ng personal. Sabi ko, kakausapin ko siya, magkikita kami after niya sasabihin lahat ng totoo in public, on TV.”

“Para siguro malinis ‘yung pangalan ko, ‘di ba. Kasi sobra eh, sobra ‘yung mga sinasabi niya. Pero naniniwala ako na lalabas din ‘yung katotohanan,” he added.

It was also reported that this is the same reason that pushed him to pursue a case against the actress.

His complaint detailed how their altercation began.

It read, “Respondent thereupon refused to vacate Seat 1A, and continued to insist that she be allowed to occupy the same, saying that she had a Panic Disorder.”

He also claimed that, the “..respondent became hysterical. She started cursing Andrew and me… Suddenly and without warning, she closed her fist and threw a right cross that hit my right cheekbone.”

Rey is also asking for damages amounting to not less than three million pesos.

Melissa, on the other hand, chose not to comment.

She stated on Instagram, "This is also in due respect to the office hearing the case."
