Matapos ang ilang taon, permanent residents ng Canada ang dating Kapuso broadcast journalist na si Rhea Santos at ang kanyang pamilya.

Sa isang vlog, kinuwento ni Rhea na nakuha nila ang kanilang Canadian Permanent Resident Card noong 2022.

"I get sentimental when a new year stars. As I look back at the journey of our family more than three years ago, 2022 was indeed a special year because late last year, we finally achieved our family's goal: which is to be become permanent residents of Canada," pagbabalik-tanaw ni Rhea sa kanyang vlog.

Taong 2019 nang lisanin ni Rhea at ng kanyang pamilya ang Pilipinas upang mamuhay sa Canada.

"My boys are growing up too fast. Parang bigla na lang silang lumaki, nahihiya na rin humarap sa camera. And, moving here, kasi apat lang kami, I felt that I'm actually actively present in their growth as young boys.

"We've become closer as a family, and I'm witnessing all of their milestones - big or small - every step of the way."

Kuwento pa ni Rhea, masuwerte siya dahil na-nominate siya ng probinsya ng British Columbia na nakatulong upang maging permanent resident siya.

"Fortunately in my case, I was able to secure a provincial nomination from BC, so that was an added 600 points that boosted my chances to become a permanent resident through the express entry."

Pumunta si Rhea sa Canada noong 2019 upang mag-enroll sa Broadcast at Online Journalism program ng British Columbia Institude of Technology.
