Broadcast journalist Rhea Santos shared a few highlights from the previous year on her YouTube channel, Your Morning Girl Rhea.

The video, which lasts for seven minutes and 22 seconds, chronicles some high points from Rhea's life in British Columbia, Canada. It starts with a clip from June of last year with Rhea celebrating getting her credentials from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), graduating with distinction.

Getting her credentials has been tough for Rhea, who previously shared on her Instagram account the difficulties of being a working student, saying that it tested her "patience, time management skills, physical, emotional, and mental strength." She was enrolled in a Broadcast and Online Journalism program at BCIT.

Another highlight is Rhea and her family surprising her parents with a Lake Tahoe weekend last July. The surprise is clear in Rhea's mother's face when Rhea and her children pop up from behind a couch to surprise her.

Rhea also celebrated the August anniversary of OMNI News: Filipino Edition, a team of Filipino-speaking journalists in Canada delving into under-reported topics and issues.

Shots from her family's first white Christmas were also part of the video, as well as her and her family dealing with British Columbia's heat and cold during different parts of the year.

Rhea made the decision to move to Canada back in 2019, making the announcement on Unang Hirit, a morning show she had been co-hosting for close to 20 years.
