On her Instagram post, Rica talked about the little things her mom does to help her out.

She explained, "My mom holding Manu. It isn't very easy to hold this boy and with my mom's physical limitations pa due to age, it makes me deeply appreciate that she does this for me. She held him so I can prepare Manu's food. "

She added, "Which is also why it is particularly precious to me that she can serve me [she makes my clothes tupi after laundry and holds the kids and serves the other kid when my hands are full with the other one and my husband is on a graveyard shift for work] and mother me at this time because mothers need their own mothers, too!

"The way my babies perhaps look for me everytime they are hungry or are in pain and sleepy, is the way I also look for mine when I am overwhelmed and exhausted with life."

My mom holding Manu. It isn't very easy to hold this boy and with my mom's physical limitations pa due to age, it makes me deeply appreciate that she does this for me. She held him so I can prepare Manu's food. . . I always make sure my children are fed, clothed, free to develop and that often means neglect for myself because I can only do so much!!! Which is also why it is particularly precious to me that she can serve me (she makes my clothes tupi after laundry and holds the kids and serves the other kid when my hands are full with the other one and my husband is on a graveyard shift for work) and mother me at this time because mothers need their own mothers, too! The way my babies perhaps look for me everytime they are hungry or are in pain and sleepy, is the way I also look for mine when I am overwhelmed and exhausted with life. . . Mother's month is a day from now here in the U.S. Make sure you don't forget even in the midst of all the stress of this season. One way or another, mothers make life a little more bearable for us. That's been their job pre-Corona, and even during and post-Corona.
