Due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19, celebrity couple Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati have decided to postpone their wedding.

They made the announcement through identical Instagram posts featuring a picture of them on a beach, facing the sea.

"As much as we want to celebrate our love with our family and friends, in light of the recent situation, we have decided to postpone our wedding as we do not want to put anyone at risk. Thank you so much to those who flew in and to everyone who worked so hard for our special day. We only wish good health for everyone and we hope to celebrate with you as soon as things get better. Much love, Richard & Sarah," their posts read.

Longtime partners Sarah and Richard were set to be married on March 14, 2020, in a hotel in Taguig.

Their high-profile guests include celebrities and politicians like President Rodrigo Duterte, former presidents Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Joseph Estrada, KC del Rosario--one of the daughters of Jefri Bolkiah, Prince of Brunei and many others.

They announced their engagement back in 2017 and have two kids, Zion and Kai who are six years old and two years old respectively.
