'It is such a wonder to me that I have been given an opportunity.' - Riel on staying with Sparkle GMA Artist Center

Riel Lomadilla will continue to shine as she renewed her contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center last Friday, September 22, during the star-studded Signed for Stardom event.

She and her fellow XOXO members Dani, Lyra, and Mel all re-signed with one of the biggest talent management agencies in the country.

In a short speech, the Fil-Nigerian stunner took the opportunity to express how much love she is getting from Sparkle and her home network.

The Sparkle singer said, “Of course, I just want to thank GMA Network and of course Sparkle GMA Artist Center for giving me this opportunity as a person of color. As a person who normally doesn't fit the beauty standards of the Philippines, it is such a wonder to me that I have been given an opportunity.

“And I have been given a platform to show all the girls, all the kids that are like me, who are dreaming and maraming hindi naniniwala, to continue dreaming.”

“Kasi you don't have to be a certain body size and a certain skin color and a certain hair type, lahat na,” Riel added.

“You don't have to [have a] specific look to pursue your dreams and that's what I'm striving for, to tell everyone that if you have a dream, go fight for it, ganern!”

Aside from Open 24/7, Riel is also part of the high-rating afternoon series Magandang Dilag starring Herlene Budol.
