'Queendom Live: The TV Special' airs tonight, January 26, at 9:35 P.M. on GMA.
Kapuso actress and singer Rita Daniela is happy that "Queendom: Live," their sold-out concert in 2023, will be shown to a large audience ahead of its television premiere tonight at 9:35 P.M on GMA.
In an interview with Rita at the rehearsal of "Switch: Anthony Rosaldo Live in Concert," Rita expressed her gratitude to their fans as they continued to shower them with love.
Queendom, which regularly performs in All-Out Sundays, consists of Rita, Hannah Precillas, Thea Astley, Mariane Osabel, Jessica Villarubin, and Julie Anne San Jose.
"Nakakatuwa kasi first-ever concert outside, first-ever gig outside ng 'Queedom,' nag-sold out siya at talagang ramdam na ramdam namin 'yung saya at kilig nung mga taong nagpunta at pinanood kami," Rita said.
"Nakakatuwa kasi kahit na it's been a month pero hanggang ngayon nakakatanggap pa rin kami ng magagandang reviews, at happy pa rin sila. Kahit 'yung iba nakapanood na sa mismong concert, na-happy pa rin sila at excited sila na mapanood ito sa TV."
Looking back, Rita teased viewers who will watch "Queendom Live" not to miss their solo performances and acapella number together.
She said, "I think the solos, I have to say, kasi recently kasi, naging parang concept ng Queendom is 'yung mga duets, 'yung mga tatlong tao sa isang kanta, which is nagkakaroon ng harmony.
"Isa 'yun sa masasabi kong kailangan nilang abangan kasi bihira 'yung ganun, 'yung mabigyan kami ng ganun kahaba kasi siyempre sa 'Queendom,' pagkakasyahin namin 'yung six-to-seven minutes, buong medley na 'yun.
"This time, nabigyan kami ng chance na kantahin 'yung gusto naming kantahin. By the way, kami talaga 'yung mga pumili nung solo spot namin na song.
"Second, ang kailangan nilang abangan is meron kaming isang prod doon na request talaga namin, 'yung talagang noon pa namin gustong gawin 'yun, kaming anim, at masaya kami na nagawa namin siya sa harap ng maraming tao.
"'Yun ay mag-acapella kami. Abangan niyo na lang kung anong song 'yung gagawin namin pero sobrang solid 'yun, talagang ang sarap sa puso."
Queendom Live: The TV Special airs tonight, January 26, at 9:35 P.M. on GMA.
Rita will also be one of the guest stars in Anthony Rosaldo's first major solo concert on Wednesday, January 31, at the Music Museum. Tickets are available at TicketWorld.
