Rob Sy expressed pride over his child's recent achievement.

On social media, Rob shared his child's win at a swimming competition held at the Rizal Memorial Stadium. The young athlete secured gold in the 100m freestyle and a silver medal in the 4x100m relay.

But beyond the victory, Rob reflected on the significance of the moment -particularly amid an ongoing bullying complaint involving his child.

"Ang pagiging magulang ay hindi lang pagtuturo para itutuwid natin sila kung sila ang nagkakamali, pero ilalaban din natin sila nang buong-buo kung sila naman ang pinagkakaisahan at kinawawa," he wrote.

" Nitong mga nakaraang buwan, talagang naging mabigat ang pinagdaanan ng pamilya natin. Pero nakita kita ngayon kung gaano ka kalakas harapin ang daloy ng tubig, sa edad na 8 years old, literally at figuratively, at nakakagaan sa pakiramdam bilang magulang."

The celebrity dad also congratulated his child, emphasizing resilience amid challenges.

"Hindi ka lang basta nagkampeon ngayong araw; ipinakita mo rin sa lahat kung paano bumangon at lampasan ang lahat ng ingay sa paligid mo, at proud na proud kami nila Doc at Nanay Velle mo sa kung paano mo ginamit ang sports para kayanin ang mga pagsubok. Win or lose, laging nasa likod mo kame Anak! Labyu Champ," he added.

Rob Sy's post follows his earlier statement addressing allegations involving his child and the son of Quezon City Councilor Alfred Vargas.

On April 13, Alfred and his wife, Yasmine, filed a criminal complaint for alleged violation of Section 10(a) of Republic Act No. 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, against Rob and his wife.

The complaint alleges that Rob's minor child repeatedly pushed and submerged the Vargas couple's son during swimming training sessions. One incident reportedly escalated when Alfred and others allegedly witnessed the child being pushed near the side of the pool, nearly causing injury.

The public servant also claimed that the concern was raised with the child's mother, but was dismissed.

Rob denied the allegations online: "Sobrang sakit bilang magulang na maakusahan ang aking 8-Year-Old na anak lalo na't hindi totoo at malinaw na binaliktad ang naratibo. Tama na!!! Sobra Na!!! Labis na ang Paninira IPAGLALABAN PO NAMIN ANG KATOTOHANAN."

He also said, "Wala man po kaming yaman at impluwensya. Hawak naman po namin ang integridad at katotohanan na hindi nabibili ng posisyon. Maraming Salamat po!"
