In the 2019 film Avengers: Endgame, RDJ retired from the role of Tony Stark/Iron Man. His character met a heroic end, sacrificing himself to save the universe.

In March 2024, RDJ won his first Oscar award as Best Supporting Actor for the movie Oppenheimer.
