Maiqui Pineda and her husband, Robi Domingo, happily shared their early Christmas gift--a clinical remission from autoimmune disease.
Maiqui Pineda and her husband, TV host Robi Domingo, just shared some progress in their health journey battling dermatomyositis.
In 2023, Maiqui was diagnosed with a rare form of an autoimmune disease called dermatomyositis.
Robi shared in September that his 35th birthday wish is healing for Maiqui.
On Sunday, the couple shared that Maiqui is now in clinical remission.
Maiqui said in a post, "The best early Christmas gift we could ever ask for - my doctor officially told me that I'm in clinical remission!
"Clinical remission means that the signs and symptoms of my autoimmune disease are now barely detectable, even if the disease may not be completely cured.
"In short - I'M OKAY!
"Hearing those words during our trip to Singapore in November brought tears to our eyes, especially when my doctor called me a 'Christmas miracle.'
"I'm beyond grateful for this gift and for the prayers and support that helped me keep going. Please know that it made a difference so THANK YOU! I have big plans for 2025, but for now, it's time to enjoy the holidays with the people I love.
Longtime friends Maqui Pineda and Robi Domingo began dating in 2018. They got engaged in November 2022 and tied the knot in January 2024.
