Rocco Nacino's disaster relief efforts in Southern Luzon were recognized in the Philippine Navy Headquarters.

Two months after he took his oath and was officially donned with the rank of Petty Officer Third Class in the Navy reserve, Rocco Nacino's meritorious achievement was recognized anew, this time on Monday Morning Colors held on January 27 at the Philippine Navy Headquarters in Roxas Blvd., Manila.

This is in line with his participation in the disaster relief operations in Southern Luzon for the victims of Taal Volcano eruption.

On Instagram, he shared a series of photos taken from the donning of ranks ceremony, where his Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation) co-star, Dingdong Dantes, was donned with the new rank of Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Reserve.

Dingdong Dantes is now a lieutenant commander of the Philippine Navy

Got to experience the prestigious donning of ranks at the Navy Headquarters. This has ignited a feeling of greater love for my country as our officers take time to recognize our efforts in serving our country. Yes masaya ang pakiramdam na makapagpasaya ng tao through tv, pero iba din ang saya ng makatulong sa kapwang pilipino na nangangailangan. We reach out to the youth to take on this journey as well to experience that fulfilment that we talk about. Believe me, magbabago ang pananaw ninyo sa buhay. Congrats to all the awardees, especially to my good friend @dongdantes , whom I salute to now as Lt Commander Dantes. Buddy na tayo sa Alpha team, buddy na rin Navy. Snappy salute! Our tatay in heaven, Col. Eleuterio R. Quiogue, sana po napangiti kita today. ❤ This is for you too Mom and Dad! Love you! Thank you for the awesome photos dad and @marianrivera ❤ #PhilippineNavy #NavyReservist
