Rocco Nacino is the only GMA Artist Center talent who plays the lead role in a movie competing in this year's MMFF.

Rocco Nacino is proud to represent the Kapuso Network in this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.

He is the sole GMA Artist Center talent who plays the lead role in a movie competing in the prestigious film festival. He is topbilling TBA Studios's Write About Love, opposite Kapamilya actress Miles Ocampo.

"Nagulat nga ako noong sinabi sa 'kin 'yun e. It's something to be proud about. It's something to see kung paano magfe-fair ang isang Kapuso dito but alam mo 'yon, all in all masaya lang," Rocco shared in an interview with entertainment reporters and bloggers during Write About Love's premiere night last December 2.

He is well-aware of the significance of being a part of the MMFF so he dedicates ample time to promote the rom-com film, amid being busy for his upcoming series, Descendants of the Sun (The Philippine Adaptation).

#WriteAboutLove #AFilmByCrisantoAquino #TBAStudios

The Kapuso homegrown talent declared, "Chance na 'to para i-represent ang Kapuso Network so lahat ng effort para ma-promote 'yung pelikula ginagawa ko talaga. Free time ko 'yun, kahit Linggo ginagawa ko. Actually itong premiere night, I was not supposed to be here kasi may taping kami para sa Descendants of the Sun. Actually galing pa kong Tanay, at para hindi ma-traffic nag-motor ako just to make it tonight just to say thank you to the people responsible for the film and the people responsible for the over-packed cinema ngayong gabi. Kailangan nandito ako, kailangan magpasalamat ako sa kanila."

Rocco added that he did not miss any campus tours wherein they let the students write about love, as inspired by the film's narrative.

They “wrote about love” and I enjoyed reading every single story! Tomorrow We'll be visiting St. Dominic College of Asia for our campus tour! Excited to all your stories about love! ❤️ kita kits! #WriteAboutLove #AFilmByCrisantoAquino #TBAStudios

"Wala akong pinalipas na campus tour, ang saya saya," he said.

"Talagang we had them write about love, literal. And sana mabasa n'yo lahat kasi lahat kayo masu-surprise sa mga sinulat nila. That goes to show na iba 'yung generation ngayon just give them right influence or motivation. Ang gaganda po ng mabibigay nila talaga na materyal na pwede maging pelikula. Maski si direk [Crisanto Aquino] nagulat na, uy nung binasa namin, tinago niya. Nagugulat din ako sa mga kwento ng mga kabataan nowadays. Even young children experience heartbreaks in different ways, sa kasintahan. It's eye-opening."

Aside from representing GMA in the 45th MMFF, Rocco also takes pride in working for the first time with TBA Studios which is known for producing award-winning, critically-acclaimed local films.

With this, he asserted that the audience will get to enjoy Write About Love because of its promising story. In fact, it received a G rating (suitable for all audiences) from the MTRCB and a B-Grading from the Cinema Evaluation Board.

He said, "Continuity-wise and script-wise 'yon ang masasabi ko sa pelikula. Ang ganda-ganda ng tahi ng mga eksena so it makes it easier for the audience to understand and ma-e-enjoy mo. I don't wanna spill too much kasi I've seen it at ayaw ko ipakita sa mukha ko kung gaano ako ka-excited. It's up to our audience side kapag napanood na nila."

Write About Love is co-written by first time director Crisanto B. Aquino and Janyx Regalo, with music helmed by Jerrold Tarog.

It opens on Christmas Day, December 25, 2019.

Prior to its opening date, the cast of Write About Love will be joining the annual MMFF Parade of Stars on December 22.

This year's MMFF Parade of Stars will be hosted by the city of Taguig.
