On December 4, SexBomb's 'Get, Get, Aw! The SexBomb Concert' was a huge success after droves of fans came and supported the girl group in their reunion concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Due to the strong demand from the fans, a second date was added. Tuesday, December 9, another successful concert was held at the Mall Of Asia Arena.
After the successful run, Rochelle Pangilinan penned an emotional message specifically for the generation that grew up with them—those who danced in their living rooms, watched Daisy Siete after school, and memorized their complex steps before tutorial videos existed.
“There's something I've been wanting to say—para sa inyo. Sa mga pinalaki ng SexBomb.
"Sa mga sumasayaw sa sala, sa mga nanonood pagkatapos ng klase, sa mga kabisado ang steps kahit hindi pa uso ang tutorial videos…kayo ang backbone namin,” she wrote in the caption.
She also candidly admitted on social media that the concert was a huge risk taken for love, not for profit.
In her Instagram post, Rochelle openly acknowledged the financial and logistical challenges that came with mounting the show, revealing: "Walang gustong mag-produce. Walang kasiguraduhan. Pero tinuloy namin… kasi hindi naman pera ang hangad namin."
She stressed that their true motivation was simply giving back to the community that made them a cultural phenomenon.
“Ang gusto lang namin ay makabawi, makapagpasalamat, at mabigyan kayo ng isang regalo na karapat-dapat sa inyo,” she said.
Rochelle described their loyal followers as the group's foundation: "Kayo ang dahilan kung bakit worth it lahat. Kayo ang dahilan kung bakit nagkaroon kami ng lakas ng loob ulit. Kayo ang dahilan kung bakit nagbukas ulit ang ilaw.”
She concluded the emotional note by promising unending gratitude and stating simply that the concert's success was also their fans' success.
"This concert wasn't just ours. Inyo 'to. Para sa inyo 'to," Rochelle wrote. "At hindi namin kalilimutan na kayo ang bumuo sa amin. We love you. Always,” she added.
The overwhelming success of the reunion concert was immediately followed by an exciting announcement of a third show, dubbed "rAWnd 3, The Finale," which was officially confirmed during the second performance.
