During Valentine's Day, some couples opt to celebrate the romantic event by going to theatres, having intimate dinners, or traveling around the country. Meanwhile, some see Valentine's Day as a day to share love with fellow family members.
One of them is Kapuso star and dancer Rodjun Cruz who chose to spend the day not only with his wife, Dianne Medina, but also with their son, Joaquin.
Their Valentine's Day was not like any other because Rodjun and Dianne decided to attend a Eucharistic Celebration in observance of Ash Wednesday instead of going on fancy dates.
Rodjun and Dianne were proud to share on their Instagram account and say, “Repent and believe in the Gospel”.
On the post, they attached their family photos in front of the altar of Santuario di San Paolo - Diocesan Shrine of St. Paul the Apostle.
There were also ashes on their forehead in observance of the Eucharistic Celebration to mark the start of the Lent season that should end on March 28.
Together with them are real-life Kapuso couple, Rayver Cruz and Julie Anne San Jose who also shared a sweet Valentine's Day together.
Julie did not forget to greet Dianne in her post, saying, “Love youuu”.
Aside from attending the Mass, Rodjun and Dianne made their Valentine's Day more special by having an intimate and hearty meal with their other family members. Their menu included soup, fish, chicken, and beef dishes that the Cruz family loved.
Joaquin, Rodjun and Dianne's son, also melted the hearts of netizens when he greeted his mom for Valentine's by saying “We love you, My”, and giving her a sweet kiss and a balloon.
Rodjun Cruz is a Filipino actor and performer who married TV host and anchor Dianne Medina on December 21, 2019, two years after their engagement in 2017. In 2020, they welcomed their son, Joaquin, who turned three last September.
