Singer-actor Ronnie Liang releases “Sa Paskong Darating,” a Christmas song dedicated to his mother and OFWs.
In an interview, Ronnie recalled he became emotional while recording the song written by Joel Abad.
In 2017, Ronnie lost his number one due to pneumonia.
“The song reminds me of my mother. Tuwing pasko, simula noong 2018, nalulungkot ako dahil wala na s'ya.
"Ganoon pala 'yun, malungkot ang Pasko kapag may kulang.
“While recording the song, super emotional ako kasi tagos sa puso 'yung song," he said.
Aside from her mom, Ronnie said, "I dedicate the song also sa mga OFW, sa mga taong malalayo sa kanilang mga mahal sa buhay every Christmas."
Meanwhile, Ronnie is happy about the positive reception of listeners to his self-produced song "Sa Paskong Darating."
“I'm happy na maraming nagre-request nung song. Tuluy-tuloy pa rin naman ang paggawa ko ng music.
"With this one, it's self-produced. As an artist, as you grow, dapat nag i-innovate rin talaga," he said.
The song is currently a hit on Barangay LS 97.1, along with Sexy Hipon Herlene Budol's "Talikogenic man ako," JBK's "Anestisya," and BakClash Divas' "Boom Shalah.
