Ronnie Liang on becoming a commercial pilot: "Though it took me decades before natupad, it's worth the wait,”

Singer Ronnie Liang recently passed the knowledge tests mandated by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

Ronnie, who started his aviation journey in 2018, wrote on Instagram, “After enduring numerous sleepless nights preparing for my exams, I have at last completed and passed all the knowledge tests mandated by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) as a crucial step toward obtaining my Commercial Pilot License. All glory to God for this achievement!”

“And I would like to thank Pilipinas Space and Aviation Academy, Incorporated for helping me to achieve my dream of becoming a Commercial Pilot.”

In 2019, after he underwent training, Ronnie completed his solo pilot ceremony. In 2021, he received his private pilot license after completing the theoretical examination.

Equipped with hard work and determination, the singer-actor is bent on conquering another milestone. He is now completing the required number of flight hours to attain a commercial pilot license.

“I believe that you can pursue your dreams at any point in your life. So here I am, taking steps to fulfill that childhood dream. Napakasarap sa pakiramdam matupad ang pangarap mong maging isang licensed pilot. It was a childhood dream, though it took me decades before natupad, it's worth the wait,” he shared.

“As far as I can remember, I was in grade 4 when I dreamt of becoming a pilot. Me and my father were cleaning the backyard and may Boeing aircraft na lumipad and tanaw na tanaw namin. Then, sinabi ko sa tatay ko na 'Tay that's my dream.' Now my childhood dream is no longer a dream but a reality," he recalled.

While pursuing his dream to become a pilot, Ronnie remains active in his showbiz career. He recently appeared on Abot Kamay na Pangarap as Dr. Maniego. He will also release a new song soon.
