Ayon kay Roxie Smith, nakausap na niya ang bawat isa sa kanyang kapwa delegates.
Dalawang linggo na sa kanyang Miss Universe Philippines pageant journey si Miss Universe Philippines Baguio Roxie Smith, pero meron na siyang mga bagong kaibigan na kanyang pinapahalagahan - at natutuwa rin siya sa pag-ship sa kanya sa ibang delegates ng mga fans.
Nakausap ng GMA Lifestyle si Roxie sa contract signing sa pagitan ng Miss Universe Philippines organization at New Moon PH, kung saan ibinahagi niya ang mga pagkakaibigang nabuo sa iba pang delegates na kasali sa Miss Universe Philippines pageant ngayong taon.
Malaki man ang bilang ng delegates, ibinahagi ni Roxie na merong sapat na panahon para makausap niya ang 50 pang delegates na lumalaban para sa 2026 Miss Universe Philippines crown.
“Definitely, during photoshoots, there is ample time to bond with the girls. There are 51 candidates, so that gives me 50 people to meet, and I've had conversations with each one already,” paliwanag niya. “I'm really happy, because I thought that if it's multiple girls, it would be hard to have interactions, but now we're able to build relationships. That's the core of Miss Universe Philippines, really women empowerment and building relationships, and enjoying the moment together.”
Sa katunayan, kahit ang shipping na ginagawa ng mga fans ay na-appreciate ni Roxie.
“We've been laughing about it a few days ago, because on TikTok, I would see videos of me and Nicole (Borromeo), nilo-love team kami! Tapos meron din, 'yung kami ni Bea (Millan-Windorski), and Bea was telling me, we have a love triangle. I appreciate it, of course, I think fans are so witty. Ang dami nilang time, and I think it's cute that they do that,” pagbahagi niya.
Sinabi rin ni Roxie sa GMA Lifestyle na masaya siya sa kanyang Miss Universe Philippines experience, at nahigitan pa nito ang kanyang mga expectations.
“I'm really happy. I feel like this is something that I've really wanted since I was young, and I owe it to myself to fulfill my little girl dream,” saad niya.
“Surprisingly, it's even better than I thought. Of course, I already saw in pictures in the past that it's really going to be a lot of fun, and I have stories of the previous Miss Baguio's telling me about the relationships they've built and all the brands they get to work with,” dagdag niya. “But it's different talaga when you do it face to face and you see it for yourself. I also love that compared to my experience six years ago, this time I get to interact with a lot of people, and we got to do the parade at Mall of Asia. That's one for the books. Definitely something I would treasure all my life.”
Simula pa lamang ng kompetisyon ay sinabi na ni Roxie na childhood dream niya ang sumali sa Miss Universe Philippines. Kamakailan lamang ay ibinahagi ng Miss Universe Philippines organization ang isang Instagram Reel kung saan ibinahigi ni Roxie ang kanyang mga saloobin pagkatapos ng kanilang first public event.
“I'm more than excited, this was my little girl dream. As young as the age of three, I already knew what I wanted. I knew I wanted to go for Miss Universe,” saad niya.
Ang public event na naging bahagi si Roxie at iba pang Miss Universe Philippines delegates ay ang Miss Universe Philippines press presentation, na nagsimula sa pamamagitan ng parade sa SM Mall of Asia Arena ng 3:00 p.m. at tumungo sa City of Dreams para sa press presentation ng 5:00 p.m.
