Si Roxie Smith ang representative ng Baguio sa Miss Universe Philippines pageant ngayong taon.
Dalawang linggo na ang lumipas nang magsimula ang Miss Universe Philippines pageant, at ayon kay Kapuso Network talent Roxie Smith, nahigitan nito ang kanyang expectations.
Sa isang exclusive na panayam ng GMA Lifestyle sa contract signing sa pagitan ng Miss Universe Philippines organization at ng supplement company na New Moon, ibinahagi ni Roxie na sa ngayon, masaya siya sa experience niya sa Miss Universe Philippines.
“I'm really happy. I feel like this is something that I've really wanted since I was young, and I owe it to myself to fulfill my little girl dream,” saad niya.
“Surprisingly, it's even better than I thought. Of course, I already saw in pictures in the past that it's really going to be a lot of fun, and I have stories of the previous Miss Baguio's telling me about the relationships they've built and all the brands they get to work with,” dagdag niya.
“But it's different talaga when you do it face to face and you see it for yourself. I also love that compared to my experience six years ago, this time I get to interact with a lot of people, and we got to do the parade at Mall of Asia. That's one for the books. Definitely something I would treasure all my life.”
Simula pa lamang ng kompetisyon ay sinabi na ni Roxie na childhood dream niya ang sumali sa Miss Universe Philippines. Kamakailan lamang ay ibinahagi ng Miss Universe Philippines organization ang isang Instagram Reel kung saan inilabas ni Roxie ang kanyang mga saloobin pagkatapos ng kanilang first public event.
“I'm more than excited, this was my little girl dream. As young as the age of three, I already knew what I wanted. I knew I wanted to go for Miss Universe,” saad niya.
Ang public event na naging bahagi si Roxie at iba pang Miss Universe Philippines delegates ay ang Miss Universe Philippines press presentation, na nagsimula sa pamamagitan ng parade sa SM Mall of Asia Arena ng 3:00 p.m. at tumungo sa City of Dreams para sa press presentation ng 5 p.m.
Ang crowning at sashing ceremony ni Roxie ay naganap sa The Proscenium Residences sa Rockwell, Makati. Ibinahagi ni Roxie sa GMA Integrated News na isa itong “dream always planted” sa kanyang puso na masaya niya ngayong hinahabol. Ipinaliwanag din niya na sumali siya ngayon sa pageant dahil “it all aligned” at ito ang kanyang taon.
Isa lamang si Roxie sa higit 50 na kandidata na hangad mapanalunan ang Miss Universe Philippines crown. Ilan pang mga pamilyar na pangalan ay sina Nicole Borromeo, Bea Millan-Windorski, at Justine Felizarta.

Hinahanap ng pageant ang papalit sa kasalukuyang Miss Universe Philippines na si Ahtisa Manalo, na nagtapos na third runner-up sa 2025 Miss Universe pageant.
