Actress Ruffa Gutierrez expressed her emotions on social media as her eldest daughter, Lorin Gabriella, begins a new chapter in life by going to college.

The 18-year-old showbiz royalty is a freshman student at Pepperdine University, a Christian university in Malibu, California.

Along with a series of photos, the celebrity mom wrote, "It was an emotional day for @venicebektas and I as we said our temporary goodbyes to @loringabriella who is off to start a new journey as a freshman at @pepperdine.

“You've made us so proud as we've watched you grow up to be the beautiful, smart, hardworking, young lady you are now.

“Continue to persevere and live a life of purpose, service, and leadership. Focus on your studies.

“We love you so much and we will be missing you every single day. #College #ProudMom #Emo”

In the comments section, local celebrities like Ruffa's younger sibling Richard Gutierrez and Marjorie Barretto expressed their love for the three showbiz figures through kind messages.

On August 10, the actress and former beauty queen, along with her daughters, left the country and flew to the United States to send her firstborn to college.

During their stay in Los Angeles, Ruffa also met up with former actress Donita Rose and Senator Manny Pacquiao, who was training at Wild Card Boxing Gym for his match against Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugas.
