“Let me make it clear po: I did NOT fire anyone.”- Ruffa Gutierrez

Actress-host Ruffa Gutierrez immediately responded to former Commission on Elections commissioner Rowena Guanzon's tweet about two household staff who were thrown out of an unidentified first-class village.

Commissioner Guanzon posted, “My friend has to rescue two household helpers who were thrown out of a first class village by their employers without paying their salaries. Where is your compassion?”

Shen again tweeted, “Ms Ruffa Gutierrez is [this] true ?”

Gutierrez immediately responded to Rowena's post and clarified what happened.

The daughter of Eddie Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama explained, “Hello Ms. Guanzon. No it's not true. There was a situation at home while I was shooting on the set of 'Maid In Malacañang,' so my staff had to call security to make sure my children were safe.”

The former Miss World Philippines continued, “The [two] new kasambahays who have been in our household for only around [two] weeks were fighting our 68-year-old senior mayordoma (who has been under my care for more than 18 years).

“Nang-aaway po sila sa ibang mga kasamahan sa bahay [pag] wala po ako. They were demanding to leave the house, which I said they were [free] to do AFTER I returned home from work, so I could talk to them before they leave.”

“Let me make it clear po: I did NOT fire anyone. They wanted to leave on their own accord. I have rarely been home shooting every day, all day,”

Ruffa Gutierrez also stressed that they consider their kasambahays as a family member.

“I'm always very generous with those I love and those that work for me kaya most of our helpers have been with me for 13-35 years. We are FAMILY. Through thick and thin, ika nga.

“My lawyers are on top of the situation. Thank you and have a great day po.”

After defending herself on Twitter, Ruffa once more took to social media and retweeted a quote from the @LIVEpositivity account saying, “I have no room for negative people in my life.”
