The slip-up didn't bother Ruffa Gutierrez and even dropped Rufa Mae's iconic line "Go, go, gowwwww!" in a now-expired Instagram Story, showing her photo with event host Jessie Guinto, who mistakenly identified Ruffa as the comedienne.

Ruffa Gutierrez kept her cool after being mistakenly identified at a recent event.

The actress was accidentally referred to as Rufa Mae Quinto by event host Jessie Guinto, when she arrived at the grand opening of EW Villa Medica Manila branch in BGC. The occasion was also attended by GMA senior vice president Atty. Annette Gozon, Sparkle first vice president Joy Marcelo, actor Richard Yap, and other VIPs and personalities.

The host shortly apologized to Ruffa who then jokingly said, "Palitan na natin ang host." The video of the slip-up has been making rounds on social media, causing laughter among netizens.

Despite the error, it didn't bother Ruffa at all and even dropped Rufa Mae's iconic line "Go, go, gowwwww!" in a now-expired Instagram Story, reposting her and Jessie's photo.

For Jessie, this served as a good reminder of what can go down at a live event.

He said in a Facebook post, "That big honest mistake reminded me how important it is to stay present, focused, and gracious under pressure.

"The laughter that followed could have been embarrassing, but instead, it became a lesson in humility, quick recovery, and finding joy even in our blunders."

The model-host also thanked Ruffa for being a good sport.

He went on, "I'm so grateful to Ms. Ruffa Gutierrez for her graciousness and to the audience for reminding me that mistakes don't define us -- how we rise from them does."

Meanwhile, Ruffa currently stars in GMA, Viu, and CreaZion Studios drama series Beauty Empire where she plays Velma, the CEO of a top cosmetics brand.

Beauty Empire airs Monday to Thursday, 9:35 p.m. on GMA and 11:25 p.m. on GTV. It is also available on Viu.
