Ruffa Gutierrez shared a hopeful update on her father Eddie Gutierrez's recovery, revealing that his condition has significantly improved as he continues treatment for a spine infection in Singapore.
In a sentimental Instagram post last Monday, January 19, Ruffa Gutierrez shared another update on their eighth day in Singapore regarding her father Eddie Gutierrez's condition, as he continues to undergo treatment and recovery for a spine infection.
In the post, Ruffa shared the “good news” that her father's health is showing significant improvement.
“Day 8 in Singapore, and we have good news,” Ruffa wrote in the caption.
“Everything involving Dad's spine infection has greatly improved, according to Dr. Prem Pillay of the Neuro Spine & Pain Center at Mount Elizabeth Hospital,” she added.
The actress also highlighted several significant improvements in her father's health.
“Dad's nerves are no longer as compressed, kumakain na ulit si Daddy,” she said.
Ruffa continued, “We are hopeful that he will be able to walk again soon.”
She also shared that they have just one more visit with the urologist before they are cleared to fly back home to Manila.
Ruffa took a moment to thank the community of supporters and friends who stayed with them in prayer during this difficult time for her family.
“We are so thankful for Dad's ongoing recovery and for every single prayer said on his behalf. So many sleepless nights, so many tears—but also so much love,” Ruffa said.
“To everyone who checked in, stayed with us in prayer, and showed genuine concern for Dad, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We love you all so much,” she continued.
The actress concluded her social media post by leaving a message of hope: “If you're feeling down right now, hold on to your faith. Prayers work, and miracles happen every day.”
Following their holiday celebrations in the Philippines, the Gutierrez family traveled back to Singapore earlier this year for the patriarch's ongoing medical procedures and recovery.
