
Kapuso actor and primetime action hero Ruru Madrid is in Canada for a string of shows for the 2025 Sparkle World Tour.
Before getting in the thick of rehearsals and performing, Ruru spent a lovely day out in Toronto.
Wearing a simple white shirt with some light wash jeans and black loafers, he went out to get an iced matcha drink and some ice cream. He also enjoyed some music and even met a painter.
Ruru shared a few snaps of his day on his Instagram account.
"In my matcha era. Matcharap sya ah!" he wrote in the caption of his post.
Ruru successfully performed at the Taste of Manila in Toronto which is the first stop of the 2025 Sparkle World Tour.
Joining him are fellow Kapuso stars Aiai delas Alas, Kyline Alcantara, and Pepita Curtis.
The group is expected to hold more shows in Calgary and Ottawa this month.
Ruru is due to start preparing for an upcoming teleserye when he gets back to the Philippines next month.
The actor was recently named one of the nominees in the prestigious 73rd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards. He is in the running for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the award-winning prison film Green Bones.
Aside from Ruru, Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo is also nominated for Best Actor, while Alessandra de Rossi is among the nominees for nominated for Best Supporting Actress. The film's director Zig Dulay is nominated for Best Director.
The movie will also be vying for Best Visual Effects, Best Sound, Best Musical Score, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Picture.
In total, Green Bones has earned a whopping ten nominations at the 2025 FAMAS Awards.
The FAMAS 2025 awards night will be held on August 22 at the historic Manila Hotel.
