Primetime Action Hero Ruru Madrid continues to prove his caliber in acting as he secured another win for his performance in the award-winning film, Green Bones.

The Sparkle star took home another Best Supporting Actor award, this time from the recently held 8th Entertainment Editors' Choice Awards (The EDDYS) of the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd).

Ruru happily welcomed his latest recognition and penned a message of gratitude on Instagram, along with a carousel of photos from the awards night.

“Pangatlong biyaya, pero sa bawat pagkilala, laging bago ang pasasalamat,” Ruru started.

He continued, “Hindi madaling pagsabayin ang pagiging critically acclaimed at tinangkilik ng masa. Pero ang pelikulang ito ay patunay na kapag totoo ang puso mo sa sining, mararamdaman ito ng bawat manonood.”

Ruru highlighted how nothing is impossible as long as you put in the work and you love what you do.

“Walang imposible -- basta't nagpupursigi ka, mahal mo ang ginagawa mo, at pinipili mong maging mabuting tao sa bawat hakbang ng buhay at karera mo,” he said.

Ruru also thanked the award-giving body for the recognition.

“Isang karangalang tumayo sa tabi ng mga artistang matagal ko nang hinahangaan,” he said.

In the latter part of his post, Ruru emphasized his oath as an actor.

“Ako'y alagad ng sining--at habang naririto ako, patuloy kong ihahayag sa mundo ang galing, kwento, at talento ng Pilipino,” he mused.

Ruru added, “Para sa lahat ng naniwala. Para sa lahat ng nagmahal sa pelikula. Para sa bayan. Mabuhay ang pelikulang Pilipino. Tuloy ang kwento.”

Ruru played the role of Xavier Gonzaga in Green Bones. He topbilled the acclaimed film alongside Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo, who also won Best Actor at this year's The EDDYS.
