After a few days of scouring high and low for her belongings, Mara Soriano is finally reunited with her special teddy bear given to her by her late mother on Wednesday, July 29.
According to the Filipino-Canadian storyboard artist, her “Mamabear” was returned by “two kind Samaritans” without a single scratch.
She added, “Voice is there, just no glasses!!”

Delighted by the great news, Hollywood actor and Vancouver boy Ryan Reynolds quote-tweeted a photo of Mara and wrote, “In happier news… thank you, everyone, who searched high and low.
“To the person who took the bear, thanks for keeping it safe. Vancouver is awesome. #FoundMarasBear.”

In a report made yesterday, Mara said that a Herschel bag full of her belongings, including the beloved teddy bear, was stolen last week after she and her fiance were moving into their new apartment.
The toy was extra special because it was crafted by her mother, who died of cancer last year, and contained a voice recording that says, “I love you, I'm proud of you, I'll always be with you.”

She told CBC News, “It's just the last thing I have of her. It has her voice on it. And when you miss someone so much, sometimes you need to hear that.”
Her quest to find the teddy bear was made viral thanks to Ryan Reynolds who shared the news article and threw in a $5,000 cash reward and a bottle of Aviation Gin.
We'll cheer to that.
