After 17 years of being part of the YG Entertainment, Sandara Park is saying goodbye to her agency.

Korean star Sandara Park is reportedly leaving YG Entertainment, which has been her agency for 17 years.

Sandara or Dara, rose to fame after joining a talent reality competition in the Philippines in 2004.

She left Philippine show business and moved back to Korea in 2007 and signed a contract with YG Entertainment.

She then became part of the girl group 2NE1 from 2009 to 2016, when the group disbanded.

Korean media released a statement from YG Entertainment, detailing Sandara's exit from the agency.

"We are writing this to inform you that our exclusive contract with Sandara Park has expired.

"We would like to sincerely thank Sandara Park, who has been with us for 17 years, for her faith and trust in us during that time.

"YG will always support her endeavors and will continue to help her as she prepares for her new start.

"We formed our relationship with her in 2004 and she debuted in 2009 with 2NE1, and has been promoting in various fields such as acting, fashion, beauty, MC, and music.

"Please show a lot of interest and support to her so she can shine with even more positive energy.

"Thank you again for loving YG Entertainment's artist, Sandara Park, this whole time.

Sandara remains active in modelling, acting, vlogging, and appearing in variety shows.
