Former beauty queen Sandra Lemonon and her husband, basketball player Sol Mercado, are preparing to welcome a new addition to their family, with Sandra reflecting on her “smooth” and “blessed” first trimester.

In a recent Instagram update, Sandra announced she is three months pregnant with her second child. The post featured a carousel of photos showcasing her growing baby bump alongside her firstborn, Zaiah Rafael.

“2026: Little Z has been preparing to be a Big Brother,” Sandra wrote in the caption.

The carousel of photos ended with a sweet surprise; a photo of an engraved biscuit that officially confirmed her three-month pregnancy with the words, “We are Pregnant!”

Sandra shared her appreciation for a remarkably smooth pregnancy journey in her latest update. Addressing her “little one”, she noted that the experience this time around has been a refreshing change from her previous pregnancy.

She also mentioned that the pregnancy is teaching her to "listen closely" to her physical needs.

“3 months of growing with you my little. Thank you for blessing/choosing us to be your family & for taking good care of mama, no morning sickness, no aches/pains,” Sandra wrote.

“For teaching me to listen closely to what my body needs/asking for by simply listening as we create life together,” she added.

She jokingly shared that this pregnancy has actually taught her to appreciate fish, a food she didn't enjoy before: “This mama has been eating sardines and anchovies. I don't even like fish but apparently we love it now.”

Sandra also expressed a bittersweet sentiment, stating she is "soaking up" every moment of her journey while it lasts.

“Soaking up all these precious moments of being pregnant as I know I will miss this feeling,” she said.

She wrapped up her update by sharing just how excited she is to finally meet her second little one.

“We are patiently waiting for you yet excited to meet you on earth side my sweet love. Let's continue to create core memories together,” Sandra wrote.

Pageant sisters like Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Supranational Philippines 2018 Jehza Huelar-Simon were among those who sent their love and congratulations in the comments.

“Soooo happy for you and your beautiful, growing family!” Catriona wrote in the comments.

“Congratulations, Mommaaa,” Jehza commented.

Sandra and Sol's journey into parenthood began in March 2022, when they simultaneously announced their engagement and their first pregnancy. By June of that same year, they officially welcomed their eldest son, Zaiah Rafael Mercado.

Following their 2022 engagement, they officially became husband and wife in September 2024 during an intimate ceremony in Bali, Indonesia.
