Sandra Lemonon and Rabiya Mateo

Sandra Lemonon on Rabiya Mateo: “I wish nothing but success in her journey.”

Candidate Sandra Lemonon has finally revealed what she thinks of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 winner Rabiya Mateo.

On her Instagram Story, a fan asked the beauty queen, “Do you love Rabiya?”

To which she answered, “I cannot love someone who I barely know or witnessed their heart first-hand.

“I have no malicious thoughts about her, as we didn't have the opportunity to forge a relationship.

“But from the little I know of her, what I can say is from the first time I saw her, I loved her natural features and thought she was extremely gorgeous. I've witnessed how determined she is, and I believe, with the right people who have her best intentions at heart, she will be able to grow into the woman who can help others who have been in her shoes.”

Sandra continued, “I wish her nothing but success in her journey in discovering herself and being the first-ever Miss Universe Philippines in a pandemic, as I know how difficult her new life must be.

“I hope she always remembers that she doesn't need to fit into the mold that society expects her to [be] but instead create her own.”

Late last week, Sandra told everyone that she'd be spilling the “tea” on the Miss Universe Philippines pageant “soon.”

On December 17, the Taguig representative told her online followers that her purpose for speaking up is to “improve the pageant community” by being “transparent and honest.”

She explained, “All I will share is my truth from the perspective of a candidate of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 who has experienced all three organizations (Miss World, Binibining Pilipinas, and Miss Universe Philippines), and who has witnessed things that weren't aligned with my beliefs and morals.

“In summary, you will be hearing from me soon.”

The French-Filipina beauty queen also announced that she wouldn't be joining any pageants soon.

On October 24, Sandra became the talk of the town after she mentioned revealing news about the Miss Universe Philippines competition that hinted that there's something more about its results.

“The truth always comes out,” she said in an Instagram Story.

“It's just about timing. Karma is real. Soon. Because we deserve justice.”

Sandra finished in the Top 16 of the Miss Universe Philippines 2020, where Iloilo City representative Rabiya Mateo won.

In an interview for GMA's 24 Oras, Rabiya denied any cheating and added, “As much as I want people to love me, 'di naman lahat magugustuhan ako. So ngayon, it's a test of character, a test of faith.

“Pero alam ko kasi na I played the game right and fair.”
