Mga Lihim ni Urduja stars and Sang'gres Sanya Lopez, Gabbi Garcia, and Kylie Padilla said that they have a “newfound chemistry” playing new roles in the upcoming mega serye, different from when they played their respective roles on Encantadia.

In an interview with Cata Tibayan on 'Chika Minute,' Gabbi stressed the importance of how the three leads are comfortable to be working with each other.

Kylie detailed how she and Gabbi's characters, interacted with each other.

“Halimbawa, si Gem 'yung black si Crystal yung rainbow, ta's palagi sila nag-babangayan. Ang cute ng atake ni Gabbi, e. So mai-in-love ka talaga sa kanila,” she said.

Kylie will be playing the role of Gemma, a courageous police officer, while Gabbi will be playing Crystal, a jeweler.

Meanwhile, Sanya will be playing the warrior-princess Urduja to which the story will revolve around finding her necklace in the present time.

The cast will also include Jeric Gonzales, Zoren Legaspi, Michelle Dee, Kristoffer Martin, Rochelle Pangilinan, and Arra San Agustin.

Early January, series head writer and concept creator Jojo Nones shared an Instagram story of their first shooting day. He also shared a number of pictures and videos showing some of the series stars.

“First taping day! #Urduja2023,” he captioned the post.

Kylie also expressed excitement over her character, which she describes as someone who has a strong personality.

“It's very quirky and very comedic at the same time ta's may halo pang action so very anime 'yung tema niya,” she said.

Aside from Kylie who started her rigorous training for the action scenes in the series, Jeric has also started to train and revealed in the same interview that he has learned a lot from Kylie.

“Andami ko talagang natutunan sa kanya. Minsan nahihiya ako kasi s'ya pa 'yung nag-tuturo sa akin,” he said.
