Sanya Lopez is giving listeners a glimpse into the uncertainties of modern romance through her latest single, “Laro,” under GMA Playlist.

The official music video for the track was released on Friday, featuring Sanya as a woman caught in a complicated situationship. Fellow Sparkle artist Kim Perez also appears alongside her.

Through the music video, Sanya brings to life the confusion that comes with an undefined relationship, from unclear intentions and mixed signals to the pain that comes when things do not work out.

Sanya previously described “Laro” as a song about situationships and “the kind of love that doesn't have a happy ending.”

The single, which dropped earlier this month, is now available on digital streaming platforms.

Sanya shared a behind-the-scenes look at the music video shoot and captioned her post, "Nasubukan mo na bang maLARO? Yung nagmahal ka, pero hindi pala kayo para sa isa't isa. LARO is finally out now on all digital platforms worldwide."

While she is best known for her acting projects, Sanya has also been building her career as a singer. She made her musical debut in 2022 with “Hot Maria Clara.”

She later teamed up with Barbie Forteza in 2024 for their versions of “Naku, Kenkoy!” and “Some of These Days,” both of which were part of the official soundtrack of Pulang Araw.

Sanya most recently appeared in the film Midnight Girls, adding another project to her growing body of work as an actress and performer.

With “Laro,” Sanya continues to explore music while putting a relatable spin on the messy and often confusing experience of modern romance.
