Sarah Geronimo reunites with her father Delfin for a heartwarming duet.
Asia's Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo took to Instagram to share a heartwarming and joyful moment between her and her father, Daddy Delfin Geronimo.
This comes after the father-daughter duo reunited for a duet performance uploaded on Sarah's YouTube channel, where they sang Jose Mari Chan's hit song, "Refrain."
In her post, the actress-singer expressed that performing alongside her father was truly a precious gift for her.
“This is a gift to myself, to everyone and my father. To celebrate him and our love for music,” the caption read.
Meanwhile, Sarah's father, Delfin, expressed in the video how proud he is of his daughter, whom he described as his source of strength.
“Sobrang proud ako sa anak ko kasi, siguro sa kaniya lang ako nakakakuha ng lakas ng loob,” he expressed.
“Sobrang saya ko, saka masyado akong na-touch sa mga kanta, kasi parang habang kumakanta kami para akong maiiyak,” he added.
The Asia's Popstar Royalty quickly expressed her gratitude, calling it a joyful moment and a dream come true to sing alongside one of the most loved and admired people in her life, her father.
“Sobra akong masayang-masaya dahil I got to do this with the dearest person in my life, s'yempre ang tatay at nanay ko. Kasama ko ang tatay ko ngayon, sharing beautiful music, performing together is such a dream come true,” Sarah said.
The father of the renowned actress-singer also shared that the opportunity was a dream come true for him as well: “Parang ako ano eh, dream ko. 'Yung dream ko na makanta ko 'yung mga lumang kanta.”
Both Sarah and her father, Delfin, expressed mutual admiration for one another.
“Galing, Daddy!” Sarah said.
“Salamat, walang bola 'yan?” her father replied.
In a separate Instagram reel, Sarah looked back on her early music career and her humble beginnings as a singer under her father's guidance.
“Sa aming tahanan, sa mga simpleng sandali, at mula sa unang taong gumabay sa akin. Ang dahilan kung bakit ako kumanta,” she said.
“Kaya ang pagbabalik na ito kasama ang musika, sa mga kanta, sa pinagmulan, at sa taong unang naniwala na kaya kong umawit. Dahil minsan, ang bagong simula ay paghakbang pabalik,” she continued.
The heartfelt performance marks a major milestone in Sarah's relationship with her parents, Delfin and Divine Geronimo.
After years of reported tension surrounding her personal life, especially her private wedding to actor Matteo Guidicelli in 2020, the duet marks a meaningful step toward healing and honors the roots of her musical journey.
