Content creator-turned-actress Sassa Gurl earned a recognition for her outstanding performance in the film 'Bar Boys: After School.'
Sassa Gurl is filled with gratitude after receiving her first acting award at the 11th Platinum Stallion National Media Awards.
The content creator-turned-actress was recognized as Breakthrough Actress of the Year for her outstanding performance in the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Bar Boys: After School.
In an Instagram post, Sassa Gurl penned a message of gratitude to those who helped her in her journey as an actress.
"Mula sa set ng Balota hanggang Bar Boys: After School, hindi ako gagaling, magiging mas mulat kung wala ang utak ng direk @kipoebanda. Hindi lang sa craft ng acting pati na rin sa buhay ay binago ako ng mga nakatrabaho ko.
"Ang mga salita ni Mommy Odette, 'An actor should be brave' ay nabaon ko hanggang sa susunod kong pag-arte. And of course, hindi ko mahahanap ang boses ko sa industriyang ito kung wala ang mentor kong si Direk @iamrodafrog," she wrote.
Aside from this, she also expressed her utmost gratitude to the production crew and to her co-stars in Bar Boys: After School for their trust and hard work.
Before ending her post, the actress also gave a message for her beloved supporters.
She added, “At sa mga NAKSHT kong hindi ako sinukuan, never kayong iiwan sa kanal, nasa mansion man ako 'yung bathtub puno pa din ng tubig kanal. Eme!!”
Apart from Bar Boys: After School, Sassa was also a part of the film Balota starring Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera.
