Scarlet Snow Belo is now an ate! The adorable daughter or Dra. Vicki Belo and Dr. Hayden Kho recently introduced on Instagram her younger brother, Plasty, a male rhinoceros at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya, Africa that they have adopted.

Scarlet Snow's Instagram post reads, “Guess what, peoples! We're adoptIng a younger brother for me. Do you want to know who he is? He's a baby rhinoceros!

“He's a baby cousin of the [4-year-old] rhino you see here. He needs our love and protection because poachers killed his parents to get their horns.

“So, Daddy and Mommy agreed that our family will adopt him. I get to name him and I'm thinking of calling him, 'Plasty the Belo Rhino.'”

“The money will make sure he has veterinarians and rhino rangers from @lewa_wildlife who will make sure Plasty is safe and healthy. #NewEarthHeroes”

Scarlet Snow posted a series of photos showing some of the rhinos at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. She also shared her photo with a couple of rhino rangers.

Her mom Dra. Vicki also posted about their adopted baby rhino Plasty on Instagram.

Part of Dra. Vicki's post reads, “Meet @scarletsnowbelo's younger 'brother' a baby #rhino we adopted to make sure that he's protected by rangers and good vet care. @quarkhenares gave the perfect name 'plasty' so his full name is #PlastytheBeloRhino.

“[These] beautiful animals are getting extinct because they're being killed for their horns. Which some cultures believe have an aphrodisiac effect. Some horns fetch up to 200 thousand dollars in the [black] market .”

Rhino horn is valuable in countries like China where it is used in traditional medicine or simply as a symbol of wealth. However, rhino horn trade is illegal under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).

Many netizens and celebrities have lauded the family for adopting Plasty, including actor John Arcilla who commented, “As always I love your heart Vicki @victoria_belo I can not be more proud to have you as a friend. God bless you more. God bless your heart and soul. God bless your Lineage. May your tribe grow ️️️”

Actor Christopher de Leon also liked Dra. Vicki's IG post, showing Plasty hanging around with other older rhinos.

Early last month, Scarlet Snow introduced her one-of-a-kind pet snake, a python she named Louis Vuitton.

Then after Christmas, Scarlet Snow and her family flew to Kenya, Africa, where they rang in the New Year enjoying the beauty of nature and wildlife.
