Pau Fajardo continues her journey towards healing following her sudden and controversial breakup with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel star Scottie Thompson.
“I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason,” she wrote in her latest Instagram post.
“It has taught me that nothing in life is certain and it was a huge eye-opener.”
She encouraged everyone to remain “Pausitive” - a play on the word positive - as there are still many life experiences to explore.
“Here's to new opportunities. I'm excited to see what the future has in store,” she added.
Pau has been in the news recently after her now ex-fiancé Scottie reportedly got married in June to stewardess Jinky Serrano.
Prior to getting married, Pau and Scottie were in a relationship for eight years dating back to the basketball star's time with the Perpetual Help Altas in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
Scottie proposed to Pau on January 1 this year, an intimate occasion witnessed by close friends and family.
It was reported, however, in April this year that the engaged couple has parted ways.
Scottie's sudden decision to tie the knot with another woman caught many by surprise.
Pau broke her silence by posting a lengthy note on Instagram to air her side about the issue.
“I am deeply hurt. I ended a long-term relationship with the man I was ready to spend the rest of my life with,” Pau wrote.
“It has been a difficult time for my personal life.”
She continued, “With this statement, I hope we can finally put a stop to all the gossip, and for me to finally reclaim my private life.”
“I kept quiet not because I was insensitive or indifferent but because the issue is very much a personal matter,” she wrote.
“And I intend to keep it that way. I will continue to resolve this privately with the help of trusted friends and family.”
