Seasoned TV and movie actor Johnny Revilla was all smiles during his exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, when he talked about his new primetime sitcom starring Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera.
Johnny's last Kapuso project was the series Stories from the Heart: The End of Us featuring Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi. The veteran star portrayed the character Hermes Concepcion last year.
Johnny told GMANetwork.com that he considers Jose and Maria's Bonggang Villa a “welcome change”, since he has done a lot of drama projects before.
He said, “To do a sitcom is a welcome change. Alam mo naman, kasi sa drama medyo parating mabigat.
“Minsan intense 'yung set, pero ang biggest difference between a sitcom and siyempre sa drama is the environment in the set.”
The veteran star added, “It's a lot easier, it's a lot more fluid. It's not intense 'no? But more importantly for me 'yung to do anything with Dingdong [Dantes] and Marian [Rivera], my goodness how can you say no to that?
“If I was doing anything, I'll just cancel everything to do a sitcom. It's an honor and it's a lot of fun.
“And they are really good people.”

Johnny explained, “Every day is a learning experience for one thing.
“You try not to be complacent about mga, kayo ko lahat, kaya ko lahat. Hindi!
“Kasi, every day may bagong nangyayari and so far, with all due respect to all those I've worked with before, I enjoyed them.
“This is a blast, it's one of the best productions I've been in. Everybody is so nice. Siyempre, we still have our jobs to do, we got go in on time.”
In addition, Johnny has only kind words for their director John “Sweet” Lapus.
He shared, “I like that everybody is on time. Direk Sweet is really sweet [laughs]. He's really a nice director. He allows us to do what we think we should. And of course, there's a certain thing he much rather we do, of course we will do it.”
