Sunday All Stars and
tickle our funny bones in
Bubble Gang and
Vampire Ang Daddy Ko. This Christmas, Sef is going to do something different in his first lead role for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry,
Kaleidoscope World.

Kaleidoscope World is the first Hip Hop indie film in the Philippines and is inspired by the music of the Master Rapper, Francis “Kiko” Magalona. Sef tells, “Alam namin na kada kanta ni Francis Magalona ay pumapasok 'yun sa mga na-experience natin, sa mga pang-araw araw nating ginagawa. At siyempre, bilang kiliti namin sa inyo, it's a musical.”
What sets
Kaleidoscope World apart from other MMFF entries is that it is the only musical/dance movie. For Sef, working on this movie is “an honor and privilege”.
He adds, “Siyempre ibinigay namin dito ang inspirasyon at kung saan nagmula ang pelikula kay Kuya Kiko, Francis Magalona. It's sharing his music in the art of dance to who's gonna watch. In this movie we tackled the problems na nakakasalamuha ngayon ng ating mga tao sa iba't-ibang panig ng lokasyon.”
According to Sef,
Kaleidoscope World will help us understand and express ourselves in music and dance. “When I say musical it's what you dream when you hear this song, if it makes you wanna dance in the middle of the street, ang privilege ng pelikulang yan is: if we wanna dance, we will dance. At the same time we share and connect it with our story”.
Sef has been working with his girlfriend Yassi Pressman in different projects, but when asked how it was working with her in
Kaleidoscope World, he shares “working with Yassi is a dream come true [smiles].”
“I think we're a very good combination since we are in the same network and we both perform on GMA's variety show,
Sunday All Stars. So it wasn’t really that hard for us, especially we have this connection as well, even in the auditions. So I'm sure when it comes to the art of performing or dancing, magagandahan naman sila 'dun.” He concludes.
Catch Sef Cadayona every Friday night in
Bubble Gang, every Saturday in
Vampire ang Daddy Ko, and every Sunday in
Sunday All Stars.
