
It was surely one unforgettable night for both Filo Heartriders and South Korean star Seo In-guk as the actor's "First Asia Fan Meeting Tour in Manila" last Saturday, August 12, at the New Frontier Theater broke records as the country's longest solo fan meeting, lasting more than three hours, according to Philippine Concerts.
Seo In-guk made sure that the fan meet would be a memorable experience for his fans as he wanted to return the same amount of love that he receives from them.
He shared in an interview, "The most important thing is totally about the fans since they really love me for who I am. I do feel the need to reach up to their expectations."
During his fan meet, Seo In-guk recalled how worried he was before arriving in Manila, thinking if there will be many fans who would welcome him. But he was astounded after hearing all the cheers during the entirety of the event.
"It has been a really good memory for me and I hope that it's been a good memory for you guys, as well," he shared.
This was Seo In-guk's first-ever fan meet in Southeast Asia, where not only his Filipino fans enjoyed the concert, but also Heartriders from South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan.
The fan meet was full of fun and kilig as the actor interacted well with his fans. He played games, ate Filipino food, serenaded them with his songs, and even spoke in Tagalog and sang Filipino song "Ikaw" by Yeng Constantino.
Before his fan meet ended, Seo In-guk received a surprise video greeting from his Filo Heartriders. As part of the surprise, fans also sang his song, "Seasons of the Heart," as they raised their lightsticks and banners.
After performing his last song "All For You" from the hit Korean drama series Reply 1997, Seo In-guk made the most of his remaining time with his beloved fans by reciting a poem he wrote and expressing his gratitude for their unwavering support.
He recited, "Meeting you guys personally for the first time, thanks for the love and support you guys have been showing. We finally have met and we are cherishing these memorable moments together. And for the first time today, we're able to make a good memory together and I hope in the future we can make more."
The actor also promised to return to the Philippines again soon. "I will try my best to come back soon. Maraming salamat po, mahal ko kayo."
Seo In-guk is one of South Korea's versatile and sought-after actors. Before becoming an actor, he kicked off his career as a singer. In 2009, he released his debut mini-album, Calling. He gained popularity through his breakthrough role in the drama series Reply 1997, which aired in 2012.
