Kadyo snuck into Lupe and Metring’s house one quiet night, and attempted to take advantage of Lupe. But Lupe struggled to defend herself, and luckily, Carding arrived to save her from Kadyo’s lust.
With her friends’ encouragement, Lupe sent Kadyo to jail. Metring and Bunny are hurt by her decision, and Bunny vowed to make her suffer for what she did. Metring, on the other hand, borrowed money, thinking she could get Kadyo out of jail.
But things only got worse for Metring as she failed to pay her dues and even got herself a dislocated rib. Lupe doubled her efforts in working, and when Bunny destroyed her chance to win in another singing contest, she is forced to return to the dumpsite. Opportunity knocked for Lupe, however, when music bar owner Tony Garcia, who got impressed with her singing voice, looked for her and offered her a job.
Without thinking twice, Lupe accepted Tony’s offer. Rufi, the music bar’s in house singer, insulted Lupe for her poor English diction. But Lupe is decided not to give up, and she undergoes training with her uncle Herman.
But Carding’s jealousy attacks as Tony gets closer to Lupe. Luming’s insistence that Tony and Lupe look good together only aggravated Carding’s insecurity. So when Carding brings Lupe home one night, a drunk and hurt Carding attacks him.
Will Carding’s act of violence make Lupe realize what he feels for her, or will she overlook his true feelings because she wants to protect Tony? Is Tony only after reviving his music bar’s fame or does he have other intentions for Lupe? Can Carding ever confess his love for her?
