SexBomb Jopay Paguia has finally set the record straight on her rumored rivalry with Rochelle Pangilinan.
In an interview on Toni Talks, alongside SexBomb members Sunshine Garcia and Yvette Pabalan, Jopay revealed that she and Rochelle have no conflict at all and clarified that it was just a rumor.
"Wala po talagang issue sa amin," she said.
However, as friends, she admitted they have minor misunderstandings, but these never escalated to the point of becoming rivals.
"Syempre kami sisterhood, may mga pagtatalo kami, may pag-aaway kami pero pagdating doon sa kung ano 'yung sikat si Rochelle, sikat si Jopay, si ganyan, si ganito, pantay pantay kami e," the dancer explained.
"Syempre ayun din 'yung sinasabi namin na wala sa amin kung sikat ka or sumisikat ka, wala e," Jopay added. "Hindi malaki ang ulo namin."
The three dancers emphasized that their main focus in the industry has always been their primary role: being dancers.
They also shared that they have all remained humble since they work as backup dancers for other celebrities, which is why there is no competition among them.
Recently, the girls reunited on stage for their Get Get Aw! reunion concert on December 4 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The group first gained massive popularity in the early 2000s with original performers Rochelle Pangilinan, Jopay Paguia, Evette Pabalan, Aira Bermudez, Weng Ibarra, Izzy Trazona, and Monique Icban, followed by Che-che Tolentino, Sunshine Garcia, Mia Pangyarihan, and Johlan Veluz, who completed their roster.
